Mrs. Morris Day is on the sick list. , Mrs. Geo. Minton, will visit friends n Vernou for a few weeks. The Ladies Hive, gave a very elejan t supper Friday evening. Mr. Steven Apdrus are entertaining i sisterin-law froin Indiana. ïhe Eastern Star lodge will install ;heir officers Tuesday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Horton, of Urania, pisited Milán íriends Saturday. Miss Alba Fuller, of Ypsilanti, visited Milan friends over Sunday. Warren Babcock, sr., is seriously ill Erom the eflects of a stroke of paralysis. M. Bryan will give a chalk talk at the Union church Thursday evening. John Bray and wife entertained a number of young people one evening last week. Mr. ánd Mrs. Stevens, of Wabash street, entertained the Pedro club on Monday evening. Miss M. A. Palmer attended the lecture of John Temple Graves, Saturday, at Ann Arbor. Miss Cornelia Chapin has returned to Graas Lake, where she will make her home lor the winter. Win. Whaley, jr., has a relapse of typhoid f ever and serious doubis are entertained as to nis recovery: Clara Kingsley, of Weston, made her aunt, Mrs. Chapin, a short visii en route for Chelsea, where she will soend the winter. The Milan merchants are selling potatoes for 50 ets per bushei, eggs tor i9 ets per doz, lard 14 ets per lb., and butter at 2S ets per lb. Charles Gauntlett has sold the sheds from his lot on West Main street, and is preparing to erect a fine residence this winter and spring. The cry of mad dog started the Milan peöple Monday morning, and a umber of men and boys gave chase nd succeeded in killing the dog a mile ont on County street, but not beore it had bitten several dogs. The Presby terian ladies met and oranized a missionary society last week with the following officers: Tipsident. Mrs. Swindt; vice-president, Mis A. L. mith; recording secretary.
