I An Ordinance Relative to Strest Railways, and Authorizing the Ann Arboi Street Railway Company to Extend its Railway Lines. The (Jommon Council of the City of Ann Arbor ordains. Section 1.- The consent, permtssion nml autbority oí the Oity of Ann Arbor is hereoy granted to the Aun Arbor Street Railway Oompany and to ita succcssors and assigns to construct, own, malntain and opérate additions andtextentions to thelr present Electric Street Ritilway system, 011 and aloiiR t lie streets and avenues hereinafter montioned, witli all necessary tracks, turn outs, side tracks, switches, and turn tables, and to run oars thereon for tne transportaron of passenger and their baggagc, and to opérate tliereon Street Liailway cars utider the conditionsand in the marnier limitei in a certain ordinance passed the Common Couneil on 1 hc lüth day of August, 1888, and the aruendmenta thereto. Section 2.- The streets, avenues and highways upon, along and oyor which said addiüons and ex'ensions of sitid Street Kailway are to be con-tructed, malntained and operated are as follows. that is to i-ay : Oommenclasr in North Main street at the iniith lino of Anu street; thenoe nonh aJonsr Mort h Ma n street to Depot street; theneeeast along Depot street to the mtersection with lts present line on Detroit street. Also commencins at the intersection of its present track on Uetioit street; thence easterly along Detroit street to Broadway; thence easterly alons Broadway to the city "limits. Also at the intersection with its present track in V.-lls street at the north entrance of the fair grrounds; thence west ] along Wells street to Forest avenue, and southerly along Wells street to, and to counect with its present track on Grove or Packard street. Section 3.- This franchise is granted upon theexpress condition that said Street Kailway Company, its suceessors and assigns shall and will construct, maint.ün and opérate ita said additionsand extensions in all things accordiug to the provisión of and condiiions contained in said Railway Company's or.ginal franchise and amendments thereto; and that said additions aod extensions and every of them shall be in all things constructed and in lull operation withiu one year from the date of the passage of thls ordinanee; and that a failureto construct any oreither of said additions and extensious in the time aforesaic orin the marnier aforesaid shall opérate to avoid this franchise relating thereto, without any no'iceoraction taken on the pirt of the said, the city of Ann Arbor, or any offleer thereof.
