Mrs. li. Lamkins is visiting friends out oL town. Mis. M. Ilack visited friends at Ypsilanti Sunday. Miss Cady eDtertained a friend from Aun Albor, Saturday. Born to Mr. and Mis. Chas. Pullen, a daughter, November 18th. Mr. VValter, of the U. of M. gave his Milán friends a cali Saturday. Mr. C. M. Fuller and wife, of Saline spent Sunday with Milán friends. The quarterly meeting of the M. E. church was held Sunday and Monday. E. Easterly, of Saline, is clerking for Mr. Wm. Easterly on Main Street. Mrs. E. Pyle was called to see her father, residing at Niágara, who is seriously UI. Dr. and Mrs. Chapín will entertain guests at their home on First street, Thanksgivin day. Mrs. L. Eldredge yas called to her sisters, at Council BÍuff, Iowa, the last of the week, on account of sickness. Professor Babcock and wife, left for Aun Albor the last of the week, where they will make their home for the winter. Mr. Chas. Gauntlett, wife aud family will eat turkey on Thursday, with their friends, Mr. and Mrs. Ellis in Ypsilanti. There will be Union services at the Presbyterian church, Thanksgivius: morning, liev. J.O. Heek, preachiug the sermón. Mr. Chas. Sill and family, and Mr. H. Sill and his family, will eat their Thanksgiving dinner with Mr. Wm. Hoyt and wife, of Saline. The W. C. T. U. elected Mis. L. Barnes as president in place of Mis. George Sloan, who has left Milán. Mrs. J. O. Heek resigned and Mrs. A. F. Holcomb was elected to succeed her Mr. Shaulter, the landlord who lef for parta unknovvn a few weeks ago was found at Vandalia, Ind., Fridav by deputy sheriff Peterson, of Ani Arbor, and brought back to Milan where lie will be tried in two weeks for iarceuy. Last ïuesday the Eastern Star lodge installed their officers and hac a grand spread. ïhere were many guests present from abroad and a hne program was well rendered. Mrs. M. J. La Tour, past worthy matron of Heywood chapter, Detroit, with the assistance of Mis. J. Joslin, of Northville, installed tbe following officers : Worthy matron, Mrs. G. Chapin; worthy patrón, Mrs. Mell Barnes; associate matron, Mrs. L. Ford; secretary, Millie Hithcock; treasurer, Mrs. E. Pyle; conductress, Mrs. Cora Clark; associate conductress, Mrs. J. Forsythe; chaplin, Mis. A. Wilson; marshal, Miss J Smith; Ada, Miss E. Smith; Ruth, Mrs. D. Whitmarsh; Ester, Mrs. iiell Zinimerman; Martha, Mrs. M. Lockwood; Electa, Mrs. M. Kelly; waiden, Mrs. B. Eddy; sentinel, Mr. J. Steidle; organist, Mrs. L. üitchcock.
