Mis. Geo. Taylor and Miss Fannie Sayles visited Detroit friends last wek. Mrs. P. Hitchcock. of Britton, is the guest of her son, W. Ilitchcock, this week. The Presbyterians will hold their animal fair this week, Friday and Saturday. E. A. Reynolds and daughter. Maud, of Uetroit, are visiting Milan friends this week. The teachers are back in Milan again having returned froni their Thauks-i giving vacation. Mis. Yager, Mrs. Luxton, Mrs. Andrus and Mrs. G. II. Williams are entertaining La Grippe. Miss L. Curtiss entertained Editor A. B. Smith and wife to a turkey-eat, The Milán people have responded generously to the cali for help irom the Ironwood sufferers. The Milan young people indulged in the liglit fantastic, Thursday and Friday eveniugs at Gay Opera House. L. Eldredge has returned from Adrián, where he went to attend the funeral of his father. Col. Eldredge Eacli of the Milan ministers were the Feceipanta of a turkey with the compliments of Mr. VAiiWormer, Thaiiksgiving day. Dr. and Mrs. Harper entertained Dr. Chapin and family, Mr. and Mrs. J. C. House, and Miss Chapin, of üvvosso, Thanksgiving day. The Chautauqua circle met at Mrs. Chas. Gauntlett's, Saturday afternoon. There were interesting papers read bv Miss G. Allen, Miss E. Murray, Miss Clara Allen, Mrs. G. B. Williams and Mrs. F. Allen. Miss Nettie Talmer conducted the quiz oi Koman history. Miss Alice Allen and Mrs. lt. Allen read some select pieces and the meeting adjourned to meet December 16 at thé residence of Mrs. G. R. Williams, on County street.
