Misses Cora Lyon and Ada Bloomield were elected delegates to attend ;he meeting of the Cbnstian Endeavor n Saline, Friday. Mrs. Frank Carpenter entertained íer brother on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Voorheis spent Saturday and Sunday in Lima Center. John Schieferstein and mother were Pinckuey visitors on Sunday. Chas, htickle, of Putnam, made us a short cali on Saturday. Will Taylor made a flying trip to ettysville, Monday. Clarence Carpenter made a business .rip to Gregory, Tuesday. John Pidd visited Mason relatives the firat of the week. Felix Dunlavey was in Putnam on msiuess last Tuesday. John Lee, jr., of Detroit, was home 'or Thanksgiving. Miss Matie Sharpey was home from ïer school in Delhi the last of the week. Marión Alley is spending a few days witu his parents bei'ore leaving for the south to speud the winter. Robert Erwin spent Friday and Saturday in Aun Albor. Mr. and Mrs. S. Reese have been visiting near Pinekney. Mark Bell was a Pinekney visitor one day last week. Mr. McComb and nephew spent Saturday in Livingston county. Mr. and Mis. A. Voorhtis are entertaining their daughter from Wayne. Mis F Schulth entertained her daughter and family from Ann Arbor l'liaiiksgiving day. John Bowler and sister, Miss Mary, visited their sisters, at Podunk, ïuesday. Mrs. A. ïaylor returned home Monday, after severa! days stay with her daughter in the northern part of the state. Mrs. Wm. Ilooker, of Pettysville, called on her rnauy friends in tuis place, ïuesday. John Ledwedge was among his Pinckney friends one day the ürst of the week. Mrs. Wm. Andres died at her home in this village Sunday evening, Nov. 26, 1893. The funeral took place at the Liutheran church, Wednesday. The interment took place in Ann Arbor. Miss Alice McCabe was entertained by her friends in the village several days the past week. Mr. Eves, of Romulus, was the guest of his brother and family the first of the week. Mrs N. Carr spent Thursday and Friday with Scio friends. E. Stabler and family, of Four Mile Lake, were in this place Tuesday. Shannon Wm. Asquith, of Unadilla, visited relatives in this place, Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Thos. Fagan, of Hamburg, made us a pleasant cali. Friday. Messrs. William Story, William Carpenter and E. Eves spent the last of the week at the county seat. Mr. and Mrs. William Ballou and family are entertaining relatives from abroad. R. II. Scadin bas returned home from Tennessee. A number from here attended the dance at Whitmore Lake, Thursday evening. F. S. Allev hai been on the sick list the past week. The scholars have been enjoying a few days' vacation. Mrs. J. Parsons is entertaining her sister from Ma son. The K. O. T. M. held a grand rally at their hall, Wednesday evening. Skating on the mill-pond began last week. C. Thompson started Monday for Iris home in Montana. Born to Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Parsons, Nov. 29, a daughter. Agur Taylor is speuding the week at the county seat. L. Lavey was the guest of his brother at Hudson the ürst of the week. S. Wheeler and wife, of Putnam, spent Tuesday with relatives. A ñovelty store has been opened in our village, with W. I. Keal as manager. The young people of the Webster Congregational church held a social at the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. Blodgett on Friday A musical program was the order of the eyening. Ottmar Andrés, of Jackson, was called tiere to ittend his rnother's funeral last Wednesday. The entertainment at the opera house last Thursday evening by the people of St. Joseph's church was well attended. ïhe Y. P. 8. C. E., of the Congregational church, elected the following! offlcers at their last meeting.
