Traverse City, Dec. 4. - While Charles Paddock was hatiling a big load of logs down a steep hill just outside the city the horses started up, upeetting the load on him and causing his almost instant death. The logs had to be dragged off by the horses before the body could be extricated. Paddock leaves a widow and four children.
