Delicate shades of watered silk are used to line sorae of the very elegant garaients of seal or otter fur. Mink tail borders and narrow edgings are more fashionable aud more expensive than they have ever been. Fur this winter is used very much as velvet is- to form bretelles, caps on sleeves, collarettes, jabots, frills and pointed band trimmings. In remodeiin handsome black silk, Batin or brocude gowns, city modistes are using white velvet jacket fronts, finishing with an edge of fur or jet, or the two couibined. An accordion plaited flannel petticoat ia threaded with two rows of ribbon and has a shaped band, vrhich would reconcile most women to the weariug of this innen abused garment.
