The center oí the retail grocery and bakery trade of Arm Arbor is bevond a doubt at the Vienna Bakery and grocery establishment of S. Baumgiirtner, 38 South Main street. He bogan business in 1878, and ocenpies tvvo tíoors of! i building 20x130 in dimensions. j On liis shel'ves nd iu his store foom is found a stock that for . quality andquantity, in his special lines, is not surpassed by any retail store in the' state. Fine ceries, teas, witfees, spices, in factj everything pertaining to the retail ! trade, is here kept. His line of canned and bottled goods is particularly noticeable. The bakery department is an important tm! distinctive feature. Mr. B. buys the "B088" flou'r in carlead Iota ' frorá the L. C. Porter MillingCo. of 'Minnesota, and is having ai large trade oti it among the best families of the city. Eight men. are employed in the capacity of bakers and clerks, and three de1 i very wagons are kept busy dis- tributing goods to every párt of 1 the city. Mr. B. possesses all the qualities of a successful merchant, enjoye the fullest confidence and esteem of the people of A.nn Arbor and surronnding territory; carries an endless variety of the finest quality of goods, and iu bis dealings with his patrons is always strictly honorable and straightforward; henee he is favored by a large and faut increasing patronage. Energy, push and plnck wil! always sneceed in any business, and that this firra possess these qualities to an eminent degree is shown by his prosperity.
