Dell gradnated tVom the Ontario Yetenmwv (;i!!ege, an institntion tliat stands at tho head of veterinary schools of America, and on Ma (i .;' tlial year, although tliat was KHd-iv. he began liis choice of profeseions in a siuall room on the sccond floor of a business block on North Main street in this eity. Tliat room had to answer as offlce, dispensary and sleeping apartment. But business gi"ew, and froni time to time called for more room, unti] in 1891 he erected liis present quarters, a neat two story briek at 24 West Horon street" It is 33x80 ft., divided in'o two offices dispensory, room for atteudant, and comfortable box and open stalls for 16 horses. He is well known to the profession of the state, i.s often called to other towns and cities in consultation or to perform some difficuĂ­t surgieal operations. He helped to organize the State Veterinary Association, and for several years was its secretary, and served one term as president. He contributes liberally to the Jiterary work of that body. His paper on tuberculosis (consumption) in cattle in 1SS5 was published in the Veterininary Journal. In it lie maintained it was contagious and conmiunicable from cattle to man, and vice vesa, just what the M. D.'s are now awakening to. He subscribes for all the leading veterinary publications and keeps informeel of all improvements in surgery and dentistry, and well deserves his prosperitv and success.
