There are few discoveiïes vrhich can compare wijh that of photography as regards the pleasure they have conferred upon mankind. Not only are the productions of the photographer, and especially the one who is conversant with the most modern methods, objects of beauty, but they give keener enjoyments as mementoes of our absent or dead friends. It will repay any one to examine critically the works of Mr. A. W. Corliss, whoso gallery is located at No. 6 E. Hnron street, opposite the court house. They are on a par with that of the best artists in any city. His charges for all kinds of work in this line are most reasonable, prices running f rom f3 to $3.50 )erdoz., and he allows no cometition to surpass him in quality of work or lowness of prices. He uses the instantaneous, which is greatly superior to the primitivo jrocess, and does enlarging to order from any kind of pictures. VIr.
