The comraittee appointed by Presidents Minnahan and Kerns, of the senior and junior Iaw classes, consisting of Messrs. Clark, Hopkins, Fuller, Messic and McCabe, from the senior class, and Messrs. Burnham, Brown, Pierrepont, Jones and Rogers, from the junior, have with the valuable assistance of Congressman Levi T. Griffin, secured Congressman J. P. Dolliver, of the 8th district of Iowa, to deliver the address on February twenty-second. Mr. Dolliver i,s a degree man and a lawyer by profession. He has four times been elected to congress. VVhen first elected was the youngest man in Congress. The republican minority of the House in this past special Congress, selected Dolliver to lead the opposition to the Tucker election bill. ' While Mr. Dolliver is not more, than thirty-four years of age, he has given the Decoration day address in New York City which has been given by Ingersoll, Depew and only by our greatest orators. A strong sentiment existed in the department to secure him a year ago, and this year the laws may congratĂșlate themselves upon the fact that they have secured the acknowledge orator of the West. The Michigan Republican club have also secured him for their banquet to be held in Detroit on the night of the twenty-second.
