I T. Dolau is quite sick at this writing. Miss Frankie Van Atta is on the sick list. F. S. Alley was in Detroit one day recentJy. Mr. Roberts was at the county seat Tuesday. Mr. Craine, of Sylvan, visited liere on Sunday. Mrs. A. Soulier visited in Ánn Arbor last week. John Roberts was in Chelsea on business recently. J. and ï. Shehan, of Hamburg, spent Tuesday here. L. Boyden entertained his father last Thursday. A. Straith was in Lima one day the first of the week. A merry Christmas and a happy Xew Year toall. Jlenry Fleming was a l'inckney visiitor, Wednesday. Mr. Tubbs was at the county seat on business, Monday. Mr. Jones spent the past week in Livingston county. M. McGuire, of Chelsea, made us a visit last Tuesday. Geo. Speigelberg s entertaining his brothers fröin Ohio. E. Kellogg bas gone to spend the winter in Plymouth. Miss Lottie Schmid is spending a few days in Iludson. Pat Lavey shook hands with Chelsea friends, Tuesday. George Vinkle, of Minnesota, s the guest of relatives here. II. Quinn spent two days the lirst of the week at the Portage. James Story and wife were Pinckney visitors, Wednesday. AVilliam Rosier has been in Grand llaplds the past few days. Mr. Jackson, of Pinckney, made us a pleasant cali last Friday. Miss Clara Ph'elps has been the guest of Mrs. M. Cook the past week. Mr. and Mrs Thos! Clark, of South Putnam, spent Thursday here. Louis Flintof t, of Pettysville, visited his cousins the first of the week. Miss Sarah Taylor was entertained by Pinckney Lriends last Sunday. B. Green and wife had the pleasure of entertaining friends on Tuesday. Miss Mattie Palmer has returned home after a ten weeks' in Milwaukee. R. E. Reese was called to Webster Tuesday to attend his motber's funeral. B. Culy and i'riend, of Scio, was the guests of friends here the first of the week. Thomas Chamberlain and wife are entertaining relatives trom Battle Creek. Rev. F. E. Pearce spent the past week with friends in Soranton, Pennsylvania. A. Reason and family and Mr. Bullis, of Pinckney, were here one day last week. Mrs. Kiniball and Miss Johnson will spend the holidays with tbeir many friends in Dundee. Mr, Mercer and i'riend, of Parshallville, were entertained by Dexter friends last Saturdav and Sunday. A number f rom here will attend the entertainment and Christmas tree at Pinckney, tomorrow evening, Saturday, given by St. Mary's churcíi. The remains of Edward Ryan were brought to this place from Jackson for burial. He was thirty eight years of age and leaves a large circle of friends to mourn his less.
