Marshall, Dec. 21.- During the exainination Wednesday in the Scott trial of Dispateher Cornell it developed that he thought his duty to keep the trains running rapidly was equal to his duty to look after the safety of the public. Switchman McCullough testified that he let No. (f out of the mam line from three to five minutes before the collision, and that the train was moving ttbout 10 ïnües per hour. The prosecution expect to show that the train ran at the rate of frotn 28 to 25 miles per. hour, having been hurried out by the train dispatoher. The defense have intimated that they can show by the Superintendent of the road and'other ofïieers that the Graud Trnnk employés are not cxpected to live up to their rales.
