The Myers ballot machine has been on exhibition this week in the store recently occupied by Sheeley, on Ann street, and has attracted á nuraber of people to see it. It is a device for a secret ballot, the voting being done by machinery. The ment of the device is that it provides an absolutely secret ballot. It is impossible for any one to vote more than one man for the same office. It is impossible to repeat, the counting is done automatically, and the vote can be announced immediately at the conclusión of the balloting. It is also fitted with appliances so that the time each voter is in the booth is automatically registered, and the whole number of votes cast can be told at any time from outside the booth. The ma chine, is well worfh investigating, and we advise any one interested to attend the exhibition, which is free.
