Death Of Ex-sheriff Adair

Une a, Dea 26.- Mr. GeorgeE. Adair, one of the oldest resident of this place, died at the residence of his son, Charles Adair, with whom he has lived for eeveral years. He has been in failing health for a long time. He was widely known throughóut the county. He held the office of sheriff of Macomb county two vaars and served in the arniy during the war of the rebellion three years, going out as lieutenant and coming home a captain. He left one brother, and of his own fatuil}7 there remains one son and three daughters. He wae 81 years old.
