She Used A Rawhide

Escanaba, Dec. 28. - A sensatioaal thrashing took place on tbe main business street of this place Wednesday. Mrs. Victor Tiede, af ter being insulted, she claims, two or three times by exMayor P. M. Peterson, and being the recipiënt of a letter of most obscene language, resotved to take revenge out of his hide. Nothing was said or done by the insulted woman or her husband until the receipt of a filthy letter which was illustrated by pen drawings. Thereupon ehe obtained a rawliide and laid for the ex-mayor, whom she finally caught. She proceeded to lash him to the queen's taste at the point of a drawn revolver and then marched him down the streets.
