Lansing, Dec. 27.- The legislation of I 1893 p is-ed an amendatory act ; ing the payment of a franchise fee by corporations, and applies as woll to those organized iu other states aa Michigan. Very few of the corjwrations or'nniKed in other states lmva coinplied with the law by filing their articled aud puying tbe franchise fee. By the províslons of the net after Jan. 1 all conti ats made by sucli corporations in this state are voirl and cannot be enforced by either party. This will affect a large number of large corporations doing business in this state and will undoubtedly lead to considerable litigation.
