Guy Coe and Milton Clark visited Detroit, Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Ward are entertaining guests from Ypsilanti. Kev. C. Case, of Stony Creek, visited Milan friends Tuesday. E. Dayis, of Ann Arbor, is visiting Milan friends this week. Mrs. G. R. Williams was quite ill wjth la grippe last week. ' Milan school opened Tuesday niorninji with a good attendance. Mr. C. M. Fuller and wife visited Yysilanti the last of the week. Miss Edna Zim merman is entertaining guests from Daytou, Ohio. Miss Lucy Curtiss entertained Dr. Ohristiancy, of India, last week. Mr. and Mrs. Pullen are entertaining guests from abroad this week. Miss Lelia Kelley is entertaiuing guests from Toledo íor a few days. Mr. Menzie, of Chicago, was the guest of Dr. and Mrs. Pyle last week. Mr. Bray and wife entertained guests from Ypsilanti the first of the week. ' The Chautauqua circle will meet at Mrs. G. R. Williams' residence, January 13. There are many cases of la grippe in Milan and vicinity, but no fatal cases so far. Mr. and Mrs. 13. F. Watts, and Mr. and Mrs. Will W. Watts, of Ann Arbor, were the guests of Mr. W. II. Whitmarsh and wife, iïew Year's Day. Editor Jamos E. Can-, of rbe Dundee reporter, gave ií ilan a cali the last of t);e week. Mr. E. Á. Presiding Eider Davis, of Detroit, is expeeted to be in attendance. Rev. J. O. Heck resigned liis pastorate at the Baptist church on account of poor health; tliat leaves the Baptist again without a minister. Mr. Heek will leave mariy warm friends in Milan, where he has been for a year and hopes for his speedy recovery are entertained. The MHan lodge. No. 323, F. and A.
