The victiin is the 14-year-old son of the lata ex-County Treasurer Burns, while Fevguson Laudtjr, 15 years of age, is charged witn shooting him with a 12gauge double-barreied shotgun. That the tragedy is Ies6 than a murder seeuis to be due only to the eagerness of young Lauder tido the shootiug, he firing the gun when yet at r distance of about 15 yards froua the victim. As it is Burns ha nearly the whole of thejcharge of one and oneeighth ounces of No. 6 shot in bis body. and will likely loose his eyesight. Otherwise he ia not thought to be dangerously inji red.
