Alderman Rathbun Dead

Battle Creek, Jan. 2. - Alderman Frank Rathbun, who was seriously injured by fallïng down an elevator shaft last Friday, died Sunday night. He reinained unconscious most of tho time af ter the accident. Death was caused by spinal meningitis superinduced by the shock of the fall. Mr. Rathbnn was an ex-inayor, a prominent business man and vu'y popular socially. He was about 42 yeara oíd and leaves a widow and four children.
