Death Of John Hunt
John Hunt, a resident of Ann Arbor for over forty years, died at his home in this city Tuesday, after a long illness, consequent upon an attack of la grippe. He was the son of Alfred H. and Sarah Wells Hunt and was born in Utica, New York, April 13, 1834. He catne to Ann Arbor in 1851, and for some time clerked in the store of his uncle, Henry W. Wells. Later he continued the business himself and for many years ran a hardware store on Mam street. He was well known and highly esteemed. His only surviving brother is Edward Hunt, assistant cashier of the National City Bank of Grand Rapids. Mr. Hunt was never married, was of a social disposition and a good democrat.
