The board of managers of the County Fair Association met at the court house yesterday afternoon with a good attendance, and fixed the date for holding the county fair this year as September 25, 26, 27 and 28. Treasurer Fred Scmidt made his report on finances which showed that the society was indebted to him to the amount of 62 cents, which amount he contributed to the association. He also tendered his resignation. Frederick H. Belser was elected treasurer. Miss Emma Bower was elected superintendent of the fine art's department and T. J. Keech superintendent of the merchants' department. The committee on special attractions for the fair, Messrs. Leiand, Mills and Braun, were given unlimited power in the matter. President Leiand was authorized to procure advertising for the premium list. A good deal of work was parcelled out to the committees with power to act. The matter of the populist meeting was brought up and George A. Peters made a report of his receipts and disbursements which showed receipts of $176.65 and disbursements of $i82.7o,including $50 paid to Cr%n.Weaver. Mr. Peters stated that he was out of pocket $6.05. Á resolution was passed directing Superintendent Mills to collect $19, the amount the associajion claimed for the rental of the grounds from Mr. Peters. This resolutian was afterwards reconsidered and Mr. Peters let off.
