Portland, Or., Jan. 15. - A heavy windstorm occurred in this city and vicinity, the wind reaching a velocity of 50 miles per liour. A ntunber of chimneys and sig'ns were bïown down and Windows broten throngh. No serious dainage resulted. The Union Pacific track at Reed, about 40 miles east of this city, is overflowed by a stream of mud and bowlders frorn the inountains above. Pasisengera were transferred Sunday and a forcé of metí eet to work building the trestle over the 9lide.
