Shoals, Ind., Jan. 15. - Charlie Ames, a prominent farmer reeiding j four miles south of this city, took his ' revolver f rom a bureau drawer Sunday : morniiig and remarked to his wife that he intended to end his earthly career. She grabbed the revolver and endeavored to tak e it from hiru. He jerked it avray from her with the 1 mark that ha held it with a death grip, j and jumpin? out of the door went i down a path about 30 feet, and placing the revolver back of his ear pulled the trigger and lodged a ball in his brains, I killing him instimtly. He was jealous of his wife and they had separa ted. but had gone to living together again upon his promise to do better. but he became ic sane brooding [ over the matter until life became a burden, which he ended as above. i
