Mr. Crandle is quite ill. Mrs. Fulcher lias returhed froin her visiting tour. Mr. C. M. Fuller visitedDundee and Britton this week. The roads in this vicinits are still in a rough condition, J. Bernop and wife are entertaing guests f rom abroad. Eev. J. O. Heck and family will move to Tecumseh in a few days. 4 Mrs. Chas. Sill entertained guests from Azalia the first of the week. Mr. and Mrs. S. Furnam entertained guests from abroad, last week. Mrs. M. House entertained guests from Mooreville the last of the week. Rev. Mr. Stone, of Clinton, will preach at the Baptist church. Sunday. Mrs. Deyke is making several improvemunts oa her house on County street. Eggs are selling in Milan for 16 cents per dozen and butter 19 cents per pound. - Mrs. II. J. Zimmerman, who has been very ill witli la grippe, is now convalesant. Mrs. Geo. Minto returned. Friday, from a five weeks' sojourn with her mother at Vernon. II. Smith is building a new house on Wilcox street, and expects to have it in readiness to move into in the spring. The Chautauqua Circle will meet at the residence of Mrs. G. R. Williams, on County street, Saturday afternoon. The necktie social und the auspices of the Presbyterian young people was well attended at the residence of Mrs. W. F. Allen, Friday evening. The revival work still goes on at the M. E. church, and there have been over one hundred converts under the preaching of Rev. E. Yager and the evangelist, Mrs. Smith. Miss Jennie Smith died quite suddenly, Januajy 22. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alex: Smith and a sister of Editor A. B. Smith. She leaves many sorrowing friends.
