Jvalamazoo. Feb. 1.- The handsome wife of Ncc i .ati H. Brown, a farmer of Young's Prairie, near Penn, has caused jt sensation by eloping with Charles Pitts, a consin of Brown's f rom Tonawanda, N. "{. Mr. and Mrs. Brown visited relativos in Tonawanda last November and when they returued home Pitts accompanied them, remaining only a few days before Christmas, when he lef t for lus home in New York, bnt soon returned here. It is believed that the couple had ome arrangements to leave together tefore Pitts returned to New York, and that he returned home for the purpose of getting money to carry out their plan. The runaway wife and mother leaves behind two children, both boys, to be cared for by their father. Mrs. Brown is the stepdaughter of Rev. J 3M. Yfiight of Penn. She has always moved in good society and has beeu activ-3 in chureh work.
