Miss Ella Draper, of Milán, is visiting lier friend Mrs. Sam. McNutt. Frank Cummings and son, Frank, spent two days of last week in Sliiawasse county. Mr. Ernest Oversmith died at his liome in Scio Township Jan. 3Oth Funeral conducted at the Upper Lutheran church. There will be an oyster supper served at the home of August Seybold, February 9. One and all are most cordially invited to attend. Miss Lizzie Kiefer, of Carlton, who has been visiting for some few days among friends, lect for Chicago on the Monday evening train. A vote of thauks was tendered by the Sunday school to Mr. and Mrs, Lyon for their services so kindly rendered in the past years. Lagrippe is again visiting among its friends and has chosen for its victims Mrs II. D. Almendinger, Ida and W alter Helber. All are convalescent at this writing. The election of officers of the Scio Center Sunday school for the ensuing year resulted as follows: Supt.. Mr. ! Crittington; assistants, Miss Emma Stroh and Edith Almendinger; secretary, R G. Lyon; treasurer, Lewis Almendinger; librarían. Charles Foster; organist, Melia Wagner; chorister, H. D. Almendinger.
