They Smuggled Horses

Alpe.na, Feb. 21.- James H. Blackïnore and Wilüam Eagle, farmers of this county, were arrested by United States Ofiioer Carter, charged with sinuggling four horses from Canada. The men claimed to be Canadian emigrante and as snch entitled to bring the horses in free of duty. As a matter of fact they were residents of Michigan. They wil! be taken to Bay City for trial.
