Battle Creek, Feb. 27.- A man who calis himself Dr. Piper and claimed I Battle Creek as Iris home has been vicI tiiuizing the people in the soutliern part of this county. He calis himself a cáncer doctor. He represented that he ! ovvned a ÖOü-acre farm on Goguac I prairie, the finest land in this section, and made a bargain with a Homer man for it. The man came here to look at the farm. He soon learned that no physician resides in this city by that i name or ever has. Neither is there a ' man by that name owning land on Goguac prairie. The alleged Dr. Piper agreecl to meet the farmer here, but he found no doctor when he arrived.
