There are 25,530 negro schools now n the South, where S, 250,000 negroes íave learned to read and most of them ;o write. Id the colored schools are 238,000 pupils and 20,000 negro teachers. Th.í,re are 150 schools for advancfcd education and seven colleges administered by negro prosidents and 'aculties.
