Menlo Park, N. J., March 8.- Edison has eompletedhis new photographic camera, which he calis the kinetoscope, and has performed some suecessful experiments with it. The inain principie of the kinetoscope. as is álready known, consists in the taking of a great nuniber of impressions by a camera in a given spaee of time, thus obtaining a continuous photograph of the entire inotion of the object or person. Fortysix pie tures vvere taken in one second. and the exposnre lasted 20 seconds - the length of time re(}uird to uuroll the band. The camera is kept behinil a curtain in complete darkness, and when the person is ready to be photographed the curtain is drawn aside, the camera pushed forward on rollers and the exposure takes place.
