Mrs. Euima Dean, of Detroit, is yisiting her sister, Mrs. O. A. Waite. Mrs. F. Kotts has gone to Bluff ton, Ind., to visit her friend, Mrs. F. Engeler. Miss Grace Smith went to Saline last Friday, to visit her parents, returning Saturday. Miss Pauline Pfeife spent a lew days at Brooklyn visiting Mrs. C. Schneider. Mrs. Bader and daughter, of Jackson, came to attend the funeral of Mr. 0. Senger. Miss Grace Burns, of Bridgewater, who is attending high school, spent Sunday with her parents. Miss Julia Kirchhofer is teaching the second primary this week, during the absence of Miss Martin. George Nisle, jr., who spent most of last week at Aim Arbor, came home last Friday and returned Monday. Mrs. Rev. Yokem. who for the past live weeks has been visiting her rnother in Canada, returned home Tuesday. Miss Alice Lazelle, who has been visiting at Aun Arbor and Ypsilanti the past week, returued home Monday. Next Sunday a class of seventeen thildren, eight girls aud nine boys, will be confirmed at the Emanuel church. Gust Schultz, who is attending Cleary's Business College, came home Saturday to spend a few days with his parents. Mis. Holt aud children, who have been spending the winter with N. H. Holt; returned to her home in Illinois last Tuesday. Mrs. Browers, of Mason, and Mrs. Will Pattison, of Detroit, who came to attend the funeral of Mrs. Dorr, returned to their homes. Mr. and Mrs. Arnold and daughter Lena, of Tecumseh, came to attend 'the funeral of Mrs. Senger, and spent a few days with relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. F. Engel spent a few days visiting his parents before beginning housekeeping. They have bought a farm near Dexter. Miss Minnie McAdam spent Saturday with relatives at Clinton, and was accompanied home by her nephew, who spent a few days visiting friends. Will Senger and sister, Mrs. George Sweikele, of Chicago, who were summoned home on account of the illness and death of their mother, returned home last Mondav. A. Lincoln Kirk, the impersonator, humorist and reader will give au entertainment in the interest of the Alpha Sigma at Arbeiter hall, Wednesday evening, April 4. The young ladies' society of the Emanuel's church has purchasedsix dozen folding chairs for the church, and had a sidewalk built from the school house to the church. Dr. C. S. Ohadwick, of Grass Lake, will open a dental office in the Conklin block, east of the river, where he can be found every Monday, Tuesday and "U'pdnesday of each week. All work Wrtiranted. Mr. and Mrs. II. Kirchhofer went to Ann Arbor last Thursday. Mis. Kirchhofer returned home but Mr. Kirchhofer will remain to have his eyesoperated upon, which have beeu troubling him for sometime. Last Saturday the funeral of Mrs. Chas. Senger, who died March 8, was held at St. Mary's church. Mrs. Senger was one of the pioneers of this place. For some time she had been ill with consumption, but at times would feel much better and would be able to be around. She was 63 years old and leaves a husband and 6 children, all were present at her death. She was a kind and loving mother and will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
