Jackson. March 14.- Dr. W. W. Lathrop was called to the home of Williaui Ackerson, 410 Johnson street, where the entire family, consisting ot' father, mother and five children, had narrowly escaped aspbyxiation. It seenis that when the family retired for the night the top of the coal stove magazine was lef t open and the house was filled with gas. One of the children awakened about daylight and complained of feeling ill, but no attention was paid to it, as it immediately went to sleep again. When the mother awakened again, a short time afterwards, she was scarcely able to move and was very ill. The father and one son succeeded in getting to the door, where the fresh air revived theixi sornewhat, and aid was called in. The entire family, except the father and one son, are cónfined to their beds, but are out of danger.
