MONEOE, Maren 26.- Pnil Navarre and his motber in-law were held up by three highwayraen jiist outside of the city liinits. N varre was on his way home from chiwch and was driving a spirited horse. One of the men took hold of the horse's head, when Navarre struck the horse with the whip. This made liiin let go his hold. The other two he struck with the butt end of his whip. In return he received a volley from a pistol. Four shots were fired, two of which penetrated his coat. It is sopposed to be the work of tramps.
