I ani. then, on the whole, satisfied with the Wilson bill. It is a great step in the right direction. and if not substantially altered, modified or mutilated in the senate its passage }y that body will inaugúrate a policy of fair play, equal rights and commercial prosperity which ■will redound to the welfare of the peopie, and particularly to that of the overwhehning inajority, upon whose daily toil and the pmchasing capacity of whose daily wage depend the comfort, peace and happiness of American homes
