Jackson. April 10. Conductor John H. Lootnis of the Valley divisiĆ³n of the Central is dead from the effects of an amputation of the rightleg three weeks ago. Conductor Loomis being stalled in tlie Mareh blizzard with his train wa so badly effected that one foot becaine gaiigrenous and was removed. After a few days improvemeut the original condition set in in the other foot and soon extended to the whole body. causing his death. The physician says the cause was inflammation of the veins.
