Trines hght as air have interest sometimes, and apparently nothing is too trifling to feed American curiosity. A new brass knob has just been placed upon Mr. Gladstone's front door in Downing street. It replaeed one which had done the state niuch service and had jgen grasped by the hands of a century of prime ministers, from Pitt upward.
