Sonie trials have just been made at Kiel on board of the Germán war vessel Wortli with in eleetrically lighted lifebuoy, the inveution of Captain Melter. The buoy was thrown overboard when the vessel was proceeding at u speed of iibout 10 knots. For a space of about 13 seconde it was lost in the eddy enfrenta cansed the twin acrews of the vessel, bnt then reappi ared.
