For some time past the laws in this regard have been openly defied and the county ofBcers lid not have the baekbone to enforce them, so at the urgent request of the citizens here Governor Rich sent Mr. Brewster to look af ter the lawbreakers and bring them to justice. It is said that 50 tons of fish had been taken from the river in the vicinity of Montrose during the past few weeks. It would also please the citizeus of this county if Mr. Brewster would enforce the law regulating the construction and maintenanoe of fish chutes. Other arrests will follow.
