The University musical society has been sending out requests to the papers of the state for notices of the great May Musical Festival here. If all the papers of the state look upon it as does the Adrián Press the managers are bound to feel happy and grateful. Mr. Stearns thus writes in answer to the request: Adrián, Mich., May 5, 1.4. F. W. Kelsey, Esq., Dea k Sik:- Any thing the Press can do to relieve the suffering, help the poor, aicl the truly good, encourage intelligence, diffuse light and inspire a greater love for music, (which hath charmsto sooth the savage etc.,) will be cheerfully done, and it will, in its feeble way, warn the Washtenaw and Lena wee denizens of the danger of remaming a way f rom the two days' great festival under the auspices of the University School of Music. A due regard for the welfare of our musical critic, however, may result in preventing his attendance. He is not yet accustomed to Angel food, you see. Very trulv,
