The Parsons Case
Sagi.n.uv, May 9.- The examination of Newell B. Parsons, on a charge of ïooting tli Stone & Cornpany's ■vault and abatracting books,' vouchers and jewelry, was coimnenced in the pólice court Tuesday morning. The wifcuesses sworn were James Montross. jrapber, E. P. Stone, Saín Boria.üd, head of the land department, and ry O'C'onnor, the barn man. The first three witnesses simply cold thé old story of the condition of the vault doors. safe and office books when found. O'Counor stopped at the office ut 7:45 p. m. the night the vault was looted to leave a message and found Parsons in the vault, but he noticed no nnasual excitement in Parson's actions. Parsons was alone in the office and had m dim light. The case was then adjourned until ■Friday af ternoon.
