The three highway robbers who left the role of tramps long enough to rob a man of $1.85, bind and gag him and then throw him in a brush heap in Scio, .plead guilty and were sentenced by Judge Kinne Tuesday. The two eider men were sentenced to six years in Jackson and the younger to four years in the Ionia House of Correction. There is no use in giving their names, as they change their names to frequently. They gave as their excuse the fact that the man robbed had been tramping with them a short distance and, having found out what meager fare they had had, taunted them with it, asking them why they didn't get a little money and get a square meal once in a while, and tantalized them about a big dinner he had just enjoyed. The men have been taken to prison. While in jail here they attempted to dig their way out, but were discovered before breaking jail.
