The Prohibition club, of the city, held a very enthusiastic meeting at Good Templar's hall, last Monday night, at which three or four rousing speeches were made by members of the club. After spending some time in discussing some plans of work the following gentlemen were elected as delegates to the county convention to be held at the Court house, Friday, May 25, at 2:30 p. m.. to elect delegates to the state and congressional conventions. First ward, John Sperry, J. G. Palmer; second ward, H. C. Markham, Calvin Boylan; third ward, F. Esslinger, Wm. Mack; fourth ward, R. McAlaster, F. H. Brown; fifth ward, Nelsoa Rogers, Robt. Winslow; sixth ward, W. A. Morse, Bert. Schumacher. At large, W. W. Warner, Wm. H. Dorrance, jr., E. E. Calkins. It is expected that the Hon.J.G. Wooley, of Chicago, will be here to address the convention. There will be another meeting of the Prohibition club, in Good Templar's hall on State street, next Monday evening, May 28, at 8 o clock, at which time they expect to have some good speakers. Everybody is invited to come and hear the living issues of the day reasonably and fairly discussed.
