The Demócrata of Michigan will meet in state convention in the city of Grand Rapids on the asth (lay of June, at 12 o'clock noon, for the parpóse of nominating party candidates for the following state offices: Governor, Lieutenant-Governor, Secretary of State, State Treasurer, Auditor General, Attorney General, Commissioner of the State Land Offee, Superintendent of Public Instruction Member of the State Board of Education, and also two candidates for United States Senators: for the selection of a State Central Committee to serve for the ensuingtwo years and for the transaction of suoh other business as may properly come before it. Aecording to the rule adopted by the Democratie State Convention, held in Detroit in 1880, and siBoe followed. every county in the state is entitled to one delégate to the State Convention for eaeh SOO-rotes cast for Governor at the last general election, and one additional delégate for a fraction of not less than 2.50 votes. But each county is entitled to at least twodelegates. All delegates must m residents of the eounty they represent. The delegates írom each congressional dis1 liet are requetedto meet ia caucus on the 3ay of the convention at quarters to be hereafter designated by the Central Committee and select eandidates for recommendation to -the convention as foliows, to-wit: Two members of the State Central Committee, one viee-President of the Convention and one niember for each ot the following committees of the Convention: Credentials, Permanent Orpanization and Order of Business and ResItwill facilítate the workins of the Committee on Credeuthü.-, if the Secretary of eacli Couuty Convuntion will promptly forward to the huadquarters of the State Central Committee in Detroit immediately after the convention, a full and accurate 'list of the delegates chosen to the State Convention.
