DeerLaKE, May 28.- A heavy northwest enle is raging on Lake Superior, accouiuanied by snotvstorrns. The tujj Andrew J. Smith was coiiipelled to abandon lier raft of many imllion fe6t of logs in inidlake, as she could not make any headway witb it and was in some danger herself. The tug Sainpson also dropped her raít aud carne in for shelter.
