Saginaw, May 29. - The wife of a HurĂ³n countj' farmer, who is being' cared for in one of Saginaw's hospitals for a mental infirmity, escaped observation and making her way to the river waded into Bartlett'sslip up toher neck and made desperate attempts to drowti herself. An old man who was haaling in driftwood pulled her out with a pike pole, but while he was gone for help a moment she jumped in again and it took the united efforts of several persons to land her ashore. Her husband, who is in the city, will apply for her admission to the asylnm at Pontiac.
