Rain Prevented A Parade
Geand Haven. May SI.- A cold nortli and a rain set in just as the procession was formeel, sadly interfering with carrying out the program for memorial services here. Instead of going directly to the cemetery, as was originally intended, the procession proeeeded to the opera house, where the orator of the day, Hon. G. J. Diekema of Holland, delivered a rousiug address beforo a crowded house. After which Weatherwrx post and Company F, Michigan national guards, went to the cemetery and decorated the graves and a detachment of Company F fired a salute over the soldiers' graves, and then returned to the city.
