Detroit, June 13. - William Leverett Waodbridge, who waa bom in Detroit 77 years age. Julv 22. 1817. died at his residence, No. 88 Trnmbull avenue. His father was Grovernor William Woodbridge. He was bom in the old Brush house that formerly stood in the rear of the site of the Biddle Hou e. Mr. Woodbridge was educated at Ann Arbor, in the school whieb. afterwards developed into the University of Michigan. Returning from the school he studied French with Professor Vallee, ex -Mayor Langdon's father-in-law, lis a private tutor, and beearne a fine French linguist. as his father had beeu before hiin. In 1848 he niiirried Mary M. Hurd, dan-liter of Dr. E. Hurd. Mrs. Woodbridge died in 18C3 and one year later lir. Woodbridire uiarried Mrs. Slargaret Hurd, the widnw of his brother in-law, Charles L. Hurd. Tlie deceased leavea n widow and ?everil chilaren, John T. Woodbridge of Ventura counry, Cal.; Mrs. Burzina H. Hay of Arkona. Ont; Mrs. Julia ï. Hochgraef, Leverett H. Woodbridsre, Mrs. Estellë W. Yeates and John E. Hurd, his atepson, wbo lias lived with hiin for years and was loved as one of his own chiidren.
