The Democrats of Michigan will meet in State convention in the city of Rrand Rapids on the 2fth day of Juni', at 12 o'clock noon, for the pHrposeofnominating party candidates íor the following state offices: Governor, Lieutenant-Governor, Secretary of State, State Treasurer, Auditor General, Attorney Genera], Commissioner of the State Land Offce. Superintendent of Public Instrucción, Member of the State Board of Education, and alsotwo candidatos for United States Senators; for the selection of a State Central Committee to serve for the ensuingtwoyears, and for the trunsartioQ of such other business as may properly come before it. According to the rule adopted by the Democratie State Convention, held in Detroit in 1880, and since followed. every county in the state is entitled to one delégate to the State Convention for eaeh 500 Totee cast for Governor at the last seneral election, and one additional delégate for a iraction of not lesa than 250 votes. But each county is entitled toat least twodelegates. All delejrates must be residents of the county they represent. The delegates from each eongressional district are requested to meet in caucas on the day of the conveution at quarters to be bereafter destgnated hy the Central Coinmittee and select candidates for recommendation to the convention as foilowp, to-wit: Two members of the State Central Committee. one Vice-President of the Convention and or.e member for each of the following committees of the Convention: Credentials, Permanent Organlzation and Order of Business and Resolutions. It will facilitate the working of the Committee on Credentials if the Secretary of each County Convention will promptly forward to the htadquartersof the State Central Committee m Detroit ininii-diately after the convention. a ful! and accurate list of the delegates chosen to the State Conven tiou.
