Cedar Spkings, June 19.- Herbert Cook, Dean Elmer and Mart Sannders were on Haines lake with a boat and went switnining. Eluier was taken with crainps and sank below the surf ace. When he caine up the other boys caught him and pulled him into the boat. His nostrils were clogged and he had taken in considerable water. Wild with excitement he struggled away froin the other boys and juinped into the water and never came up. The lake was dragged and dynamite exploded in the water, but the body could not be raised. Dean Elmer was about 2(i years old and unmarried. He clerked in a store at Sheffield for F. Saunders and also did the telegraphing at that point tor the Toledo, Saginaw and Muskegon railroad. His parents live at Saginaw.
